When temperatures are too hot, plants become leggy, cell turgidity is reduced, and overall health of the plant declines eventually leading to death. Temperature tolerances are both crop dependent and dependent on the relative humidity as the relationship between temperature and humidity is called Vapour Pressure Deficit (VPD) and greatly influences photosynthesis and nutrient uptake.
